Madison Heights man crushed in Macomb Township trench collapse

A 47-year-old man died Nov. 8 when a trench he was working in collapsed in Macomb Township.
Alfred Garcia, a Madison Heights resident, died after the 61/2-foot-deep trench he was working in caved in and crushed him to death, according to a report in the Detroit News.
Garcia was working on an excavation project in a new subdivision development at 24 Mile Road and Card in Macomb Township.
