Photo Gallery: Dirndl Day, Keeping Promises, Celebrating Culture

At the start of January, I made a promise to Macomb Patch readers. Help me achieve 300 "likes" on the Macomb Patch Facebook page by Feb. 1, and I will model a traditional German dirndl (publicly) for a day.

On Jan. 31, the faithful readers of Macomb Patch, and a few personal friends under duress, helped Patch not only reach this goal, but surpass it!

And so, Wednesday, Feb. 9, was proclaimed Dirndl Day.

From the 's main branch, to the store on 21 Mile Road, Lakeside Mall and the board of trustees meeting at , I wore my dirndl with pride and pizazz. 

As proof of my antics and encouragement to push the Facebook page to 500 "likes" for another such adventure, I give you this photo gallery.
