Kristina Hansen's fifth-grade students recognized Black History Month by creating a colorful and informative bulletin board on famous African-Americans.
To recognize February as Black History Month, students in Kristina Hansen's fifth-grade class at created a colorful and informative bulletin board.
Each student randomly chose a famous African-American and was given two weeks to research the life of the person they chose. At the end of their research, the students created a "Guess Who?" project to be displayed in their school.
Similar to the game 20 Questions, the front page of the project contains facts about the famous individual. When the page is flipped, a second page reveals the selected person's name and photograph.
