NORTHVILLE, MI — A Tuesday morning gas leak temporarily shut down a Northville precinct and forced it to move to another location, according to city officials.

Election officials move the precinct's ballot box and other voting equipment to the city’s Precinct No. 2 at Hillside Middle School, located at 775 N. Center St, according to city officials.

Voting resumed shortly after 1 p.m. at the No. 2 precinct, according to city officials.

Consumer's Energy crews were working in the area and hit the gas line. Crews still on scene assessing the gas leak, according to city officials.
