Haven Home Design Store Comes to Downtown Northville

Northville residents have a new destination for their home design needs. Haven opened its newest location Feb 21 in downtown Northville. 

The original store has been in Plymouth for 11 years and sells gifts and home accessories. Owner Martha McMeekin said the Northville location offers different kinds of products.

"It's more furniture, lighting, upholstered pieces," she said. "And we offer interior design services."

The store is at 111 North Center Street in a downtown building that didn't require a lot of redesign, MckMeekin said. She said they added a fresh coat of paint and some new lighting to accentuate the items against the hardwood floors and brick walls. 

McMeekin, a Northville resident for 10 years, said she gets a lot of the store's products from local antiquing and trade shows in places like North Carolina and Atlanta. 

She said they regularly get shipments of new items and are always changing the displays. 

"We try to make it a shopping experience. We try to go above and beyond for the customer," she said.
