Man registers BAC of .177 percent, more than twice the legal limit in Michigan

Northville Police stopped a driver in a black GMC Envoy traveling northbound at a high rate of speed reaching up to 65 mph, according to a police report.
The man told police he was not familiar with the streets in the area and was on his way to visit his wife, who lives in Wixom, the report indicated, and he told police he was unaware of the speed limit.
While speaking to the driver, the officer noticed what smelled like alcohol coming from the vehicle, and the driver told police he had consumed one beer about four hours prior while attending a BBQ at a friend’s house in Detroit.
