Northville City, Township Prepare for Primary Election
More than 3,000 absentee ballots have been issued to Northville voters.
The ads are everywhere. It's official. This is primary election season.
Ahead of Tuesday's primary, Northville city and Northville Township have received 72 percent of the 3,303 absentee ballots issued for the election.
In the city, 430 absentee ballots have been issued, and 314 had been returned as of Wednesday afternoon, according to City Clerk Dianne Massa. In the township, 2,873 absentee ballots were mailed, and 2,062 have been returned, according to Township Clerk Sue Hillebrand.

The township's absentee ballot return rates are usually very high, Hillebrand said. Typically, the percentage of returned absentee ballots is more than 90 percent.
The township has 15 precincts, and the city has two. All polling sites will be open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Here's where Northville Township's voters will cast their ballots:
- Precincts 1 and 15: Moraine Elementary School
- Precincts 2, 8, 9 and 13: Silver Springs Elementary School
- Precincts 3 and 4: Northville High School
- Precinct 5: Kings Mill Club House, 18120 Jamestown Circle
- Precincts 6 and 11: Winchester Elementary School
- Precincts 7 and 12: Meads Mill Middle School
- Precincts 10 and 14: Ridge Wood Elementary School
City voters will hit the polls at City Hall (Precinct 1) or at Amerman Elementary School (Precinct 2).
