Should Northville Schools Change Its School Boundaries?
The Board of Education is considering changing boundaries for several schools in the district. What do you think is the best plan?

Due to an increase in enrollment, the Northville Board of Education is considering changing several school boundaries. Below is an email from the district that explains the process so far:
As many of you are aware, the Northville Public Schools Board of Education is currently in the decision-making process for adjustments to elementary and middle school attendance boundaries for the 2013-14 school year.
Following input from two Attendance Boundary Community Forums on March 5 and March 11, the Board of Education at a March 19, 2013 Committee of the Whole meeting narrowed the attendance boundary options moving forward for continued discussion and consideration at the March 26, 2013 Board of Education meeting, which will take place at Thornton Creek Elementary School at 7:30 p.m.

The options moving forward for consideration include two elementary boundary options, both of which move a portion of the current Ridge Wood attendance area to Winchester Elementary School.
There are four middle school attendance boundary options moving forward for further discussion: one scenario reassigns a portion of the current Silver Springs/Meads Mill attendance area to a Silver Springs/ Hillside attendance area; two scenarios reassign either a smaller or a larger portion of the current Ridge Wood/Meads Mill attendance area to a Ridge Wood/Hillside attendance area; and the fourth scenario reassigns all of the Silver Springs attendance area from Meads Mill to Hillside for middle school.
