DIA's 'Inside/Out' Program Coming To Novi
Starting Tuesday, high-quality reproductions of institute masterpieces will be installed at the Novi Public Library.

NOVI, MI — The Detroit Institute of Art’s Inside/Out program is returning to Novi. Starting Tuesday, high-quality reproductions of institute masterpieces will be installed at the Novi Public Library and several other locations in the city. This year, the DIA will expand the number of installation sites from approximately 80 to 120 per three-month season.
“Art has the powerful ability to unify, and Inside|Out allows us to bring people together outside of the museum walls,” said DIA Director Salvador Salort-Pons. “We see ourselves as more than a museum; we use art to encourage connections and improve understanding among our diverse communities.”
It’s eighth straight year with the popular program, which Novi has hosted in the past. The DIA is also collaborating with the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History for the first time to include 10 reproductions of objects from their permanent collection.

Four Oakland County communities — Clawson, Farmington and Franklin — have been chosen this spring, among a group of 11 municipalities, to host artwork provided by the institute. In the fall, Oakland County installation locations will include Auburn Hills, Clarkston, Highland Township and Troy.
