Figure from Novi Resident's Nativity Scene Smashed

A resident of Elizabeth Lane reported that the Mary figure from his outdoor nativity scene had been smashed on the sidewalk on Jan. 3, according to Novi police report. 

After talking to his neighbors, the resident determined that the damage must have been done sometime between 11:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m., the report said. None of the neighbors saw the actual damage happen, the report said.

One of the resident's snowmen figures was also lying in the middle of the street, but was not damaged.

The man said he wanted to make a report to document the incident.
