Fireup Fest Seeks Local High School Age Bands
Bands can register to compete in the sixth annual Battle of the Bands.

Calling all local high school musicians! The City of Novi Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services Department wants your band to compete in the sixth annual FIREUP FEST Battle of the Bands on Friday, Sept. 21, at . Four bands will be selected to play in front of a crowd of about 800 following the football game against South Lyon.
In addition to the Battle of the Bands, the 6th annual FIREUP FEST features a rock climbing wall, inflatable fun, gigantic big screen gaming sponsored by Best Buy, and food. Admission is $5 at the door for high school students, and the festival begins immediately following the game until 11:45 p.m.
To compete, all bands should fill out a Battle of the Bands registration form at the and submit a CD or MP3 file of your music to Greg Morris, Recreation Supervisor, at gmorris@cityofnovi.org. All band members must be in high school or younger. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Sept. 12 and final selections will be made Sept. 14.
