Novi Wins First Place in Inaugural Senior Softball League
The Eldercats beat Northville Tuesday morning to claim first place.
In the first year of the Kensington Valley Senior Softball League, Novi came out on top.
The "Eldercats" beat Northville's "Who Let the Dawgs Out" at the final match at Tuesday morning, 10-8.
Tori Heglin, recreation programmer for the , said it was a very competitive game.

Northville beat out the other team in the league, Howell, earlier that morning with a score of 18-5.
The league is for players 55 and older, and each team played 12 games during the season.

Heglin said they are hoping to grow the league next year. She said they will also be having some scrimmages in the fall.
"It's just a bunch of fellows who are thankful for an opportunity to play," she said.
