Park It! Brings Family Fun Night to Novi This August

Park It!, an organization that partners with parks and recreation departments across Southeast Michigan, has selected Novi as one of the 30 cities they will be visiting this summer.

Park It!, will add to the Sizzling Summer Art Series by bringing its large outdoor LED movie screen to for a showing of The Smurfs on Friday, Aug. 10. The evening will begin with face painting, a bounce house, crafts, and giveaways at 6 p.m.

Toppermost, a Beatles tribute band, will perform at 7 p.m., and The Smurfs will be shown at 9 p.m.

The Sizzling Summer Art Series continues at Fuerst Park with the following events:

• Tuesday, July 31- Cirque Amongus, 10:30 a.m.
• Friday, July 27 - Michael May and the Messarounds, 7 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 3 - The Muppets movie, 9 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 10 - Park It! activities, 6 p.m. Toppermost, 7p.m., The Smurfs 9 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 17 - Puss in Boots movie, 9 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 24 - Gratitude Steel Band, 7 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 31 - The Lorax movie at 9 p.m.
