Pavilion Shore Park Upgrades To Be Completed by July
The park, which borders Walled Lake, will be reopened this summer with a number of improvements.

Construction at Pavilion Shore Park is underway and the first two phases of upgrades are expected to be completed by this July, according to a press release from the City of Novi.
The first two rounds of additions to the park, located off 13 Mile Road, will provide access to Walled Lake with a fishing pier and boardwalk. The construction also includes landscape walls and terrace, two parking areas, shoreline stabilization, and native plantings.

To assist with the development of the 11-acre park, the Novi Parks Foundation has donated $50,000 to the City of Novi. The Foundation Board of Directors approved the matching donation in 2010 as part of the City of Novi’s grant request to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF). The project will largely be funded by the MNRTF grant in the amount of $437,500. A funding match of 30 percent or $187,500 was required.
“Pavilion Shore Park will provide amenities to the residents of Novi and we appreciate the support of the Parks Foundation," said Jason Mangum, director of the City of Novi Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department. "The development of this park will make it more accessible and inviting for our residents to experience the beauty around Walled Lake and the history of the site. We are excited about the progress and look forward to inviting the community to enjoy the park."
