1. West Oakland Democrats to Discuss Fracking
- When: Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 6:00 pm
- Where: Novi United Methodist Church, 41671 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi
- What: Guest speaker, Rita Chapman, fracking specialist from the Sierra Club of Michigan will speak on why "fracking" (hydraulic fracturing of rock to release natural gas) is dangerous to us all. The Democratic Club will also elect new officers. Free and open to the public. Snacks free, pizza for sale.
2. Your Money In The Balance financial education series @ Novi Library!
- When: Thursday, March 21, 2013, 7:00 pm
- Where: Novi Public Library, 45255 W 10 Mile Rd, Novi
- What: Managing our money isn’t easy. High expenses and excessive debt coupled with low returns from ever more frightening financial markets have many of us struggling to make ends meet, while wondering whether the money we’re able to invest will grow at the rate we need to secure our financial future. Many of us feel that we lack the skills and know-how to handle this worrisome combination, leaving our money in the balance. Series developed and presented by Mark B. Robinson.
3. Novi Board of Education Meets
- When: Thursday, March 21, 2013, 7:00 pm
- Where: Novi Community School District, 25345 Taft Rd, Novi
- What: The Novi Board of Education meets on the first and third Thursday of every month (with some exceptions) at the Educational Services Building on Taft Road at 7 p.m. You can view agendas for each meeting as the date draws closer online. You can also view live and archived broadcasts of the meetings online.
