What's Happening in Novi This Week: Dec. 26-Jan. 1

Community events

There's not much going on this week! For a list of New Year's Eve parties, check out our guide.

Novi Public Library free events

• On Wednesday children up to two years old can come for puppets and music at the library from 10:15-10:45 a.m.

• On Wednesday children ages 2-4 can get their wiggles out with a physical program from 11:15 a.m. to noon.

• On Thursday preschoolers can come build with breaks from 11-11:30 a.m.

Sports schedule

Novi High School

The boys varsity wrestling team has a tournament at Salem High School starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Catholic Central High School

The JV basketball team takes on Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn Monday at 1:30 p.m. The team is in Dearborn again on Tuesday to play Dearborn Fordson at 2 p.m.

The freshmen/JV wrestling team takes on Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills Tuesday at 4 p.m.

The varsity basketball team heads to Fordson High School Tuesday for the Guido Classic at 5:30 p.m.

The Varsity Blue wrestling team heads to Medina, Ohio for a tournament Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 8 a.m.

The Varsity C wrestling team heads to Toledo to face off against St. John's Jesuit High School Wednesday at 9 a.m.

The varsity basketball team heads to Detroit Country Day for the Roundball Classic beginning at 5:30 a.m.

The JV White hockey team plays Walled Lake Central Thursday at 4 p.m. at Artic Pond.

The Varsity White wrestling team heads to Goodrich High School for a tournament beginning at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

City offices closed for holidays

The Novi , recycling center and will be closed Dec. 26 and Dec.30-Jan. 2 for the holidays. The will be closed Dec. 26 and Dec. 31-Jan. 2.

Schools on winter break
