Whether it's surviving the zombie apocalypse or a natural disaster, one can never be too prepared when disaster strikes.
A "bug-out-bag," a portable kit stocked by a would-be survivalist, contains the items one would need to survive 72 hours when evacuating from a disaster.
The Orion Township Public Library is bringing in a survivalist on Aug. 3 to show teens what should and should not be packed into a survival kit our bug-out-bag. Attendees also will be able to make their own kit.
Attendees can register here for the program, which runs from 2-3:30 p.m. on Aug. 3.
