Hacker Hits Lake Orion Village, Police Websites

Websites for the Village of Lake Orion and the Lake Orion Police Department were hacked over the weekend and remained unusable Monday afternoon.
Visitors who clicked on the sites saw either a warning message or a black screen featuring a hand making a profane gesture and the statement, "This Site Is Hacked by Silent."

"I had to make a phone call as I was unable to get to their page just an hour ago," Heather Myers Muzzy posted Monday afternoon on the Oakland Township-Lake Orion Facebook page.
The website ehackingnews.com reports "Silent Hacker" has attacked and defaced hundreds of sites around the world, including government sites in Pakistan.
