Update: Wintry Mix will Continue Throughout Today
Big, wet flakes expected to turn to snow by midday, according to weather forecasters.
Schools across Rochester and Oakland Township — and throughout Oakland County — were operating as usual this morning, but the National Weather Service said a Winter Weather Advisory will remain in effect until noon today.
A "wintry mix" of snow and sleet will turn to snow this afternoon, the advisory states. An accumulation of less than 1 inch of snow is expected today. High winds are expected to pick up later today and into tonight.
