Police Blotter: Man Recovers Stolen iPod Touch Using Tracking Device

The following information was supplied by the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Substation in Oakland Township.

A man recovered his stolen iPod Touch from a home on Bold Meadows in Oakland Township on Thursday after he used the iPod's tracking device to trace it to a specific address, according to a sheriff's office report.

The man's iPod Touch was stolen from his vehicle in Macomb, though he retained the device's serial and model numbers.

A deputy responded around 9:30 p.m. to the home where a 14-year-old boy who'd been using the iPod handed it over to the deputy, according to the report. The youth said had received the iPod Touch from his older brother. The older brother was not home at the time.
