Police Blotter: Officer Discharges Firearm; Guitar Amplifier Stolen from Church

Deputy shoots injured deer
A motorist flagged down a deputy Friday morning to put down an injured deer that had been struck by a car on Orion Road, according to a sheriff's office report. The deputy used his department-issued sidearm to shoot and kill the injured doe.
Guitar amplifier taken from church
An unknown male entered Rochester on June 27 and stole a guitar amplifier belonging to a church member, according to an Oakland County Sheriff's Office report.
The incident was recorded on DVD; church members have seen the suspect attending church services but did not know his name, according to the report. Members of the church marked and saved the DVD.
