Triple Digit Heat, Severe Thunderstorms Possible This Week

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook through Saturday.

UPDATE: 9 a.m. – The hazardous weather outlook has been canceled for the area; there are currently no watches or warning in effect for the area.

Triple-digit heat indices and the possibility of severe thunderstorms later this week have prompted the National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac to issue a hazardous weather outlook for all of southeast Michigan through Saturday.

Thunderstorms are possible Thursday night and Friday as a warm, unstable airmass moves into the area.
