'Back To School Bash' Saturday In Canton

The Back to School Bash will feature games for kids and a picnic.

CANTON, MI — The 2017-18 school year is fast approaching and a local foundation is determined to kick it off with bit of fun. The “Back To School Bash” will be held at Canton’s Heritage Park Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Games and a picnic are scheduled for the inaugural event.

“At 11 a.m., everyone is invited to the Picnic in the Park, where guests will enjoy food, fun and entertainment while learning about some of the programs and groups that help all P-CCS students thrive. The entire event is sure to be a memorable day and a great way to end the summer and welcome families back for the 2017-18 school year.
“We are thrilled to partner with CLS and P-CCS for this event. Starting the Bash with the Quest for Excellence is a terrific opportunity for families to participate in a fun activity and a great opportunity way for our community sponsors to gain exposure and support the families of the over 17,000 P-CCS students,” Educational Excellence Foundation executive director Gretchen Ward said.
