Canton Declares Snow Emergency For Tuesday

The snow emergency order is set to expire at noon Tuesday.

CANTON, MI — Canton is under a snow emergency through noon Tuesday.

Canton Police Chief Chad Baugh issued the snow emergency Monday and the order took effect at 6 p.m. Monday.

During a declared snow emergency, parking of motorized vehicles on any street is prohibited to allow for proper plowing and salting of roadways, officials said. The order also provides for ease of access for emergency vehicles responding to calls for service, as well as minimizes the potential for motor vehicle accidents throughout the township due to snow and adverse conditions, according to officials.
