Jump Rope Camp, Horses and More This Week
Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your week in Plymouth and Canton.

It's Monday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Plymouth and Canton to help make your week a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.
1. For your information
The school has openings for children ages 3-6. In addition to academics, it also offers yoga, sign language, a big garden tended by the children with an outdoor classroom, Lego nights, music and art, computers and iPads, hands on science and nature activities, peace curriculum, cooking, and parental involvement opportunities.
3. At the Canton Public LibraryCanton Public Library is pleased to welcome Jennifer Blades, the Coach of the University of Michigan's Equestrian team and owner of Willowbrooke Farm in Plymouth on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Jenny will bring a very special guest, one of her favorite school horses, Darien. She'll describe the basics of English riding skills and horse maintenance. Darien is a gentle, sweet horse and he loves kids! This is an outdoor event.
4. For the kidsIt's always exciting when Michigan's premier competition jump rope team comes to town! The 3-day camp will run Tuesday, Aug. 6 - Thursday, Aug. 8 from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m. Cost is $45 per jumper. Open to jumpers entering grades 1 - 8.
5. Save the DateCome join the 2013-14 Canton Crusaders 6th grade boys AAU/Travel basketball team. This team is based in the Plymouth Canton area but will take players from surrounding communities. The team will practice once a week starting in December ending in March and compete in 8-10 tournaments playing 30-40 basketball games. Tryouts are Aug. 10 at 1 p.m. at High Velocity in Canton.
