Last Chance for Summer Camp

Looking for something to keep the kids busy before school starts? Check out these camps from Canton Leisure Services.

Whether it's for baseball, science, theater, or music, summer camp programs offer kids a great way to make new friends, take up a new hobby, and get out of the house for a bit. 

If you came to this realization a little late in the game, don't worry. There's still time to register for these summer camps in Canton

Preschool Camps

Ocean Explorers Camp
Cost: $110 for members, $115 residents, $125 non-residents
Ages: 3-5 years
When: Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16; 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Spend a week exploring life in the big blue seas. This highly interactive camp will use splashy stories, science, games, crafts and more to give your preschooler a unique educational experience that's just dripping with fun.

Kindergarten Bootcamp
Cost: $110 for members, $115 residents, $125 non-residents
Ages: 4-5 years
When: Monday, Aug. 19 to Friday, Aug. 23; 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This camp will polish your preschooler's Kindergarten Readiness Skills right before they hop on the school bus this fall.

Youth Camps

Super Science Camp
Cost: $110 residents, $143 non residents
Ages: 6-11
When: Monday, Aug. 5, Wednesday, Aug. 7 and Friday, Aug. 9
Topics will include crime scene science, engineering, chemistry, senses, simple machines, math and mother Earth

Magic Camp
Cost: $75
Ages: 7-10
When: Monday, Aug. 12, Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Friday, Aug. 16
This camp will teach you several magic tricks and presentation skills to perfect your act. Week ends with a diploma and each person performing for a family audience of the students in a Magic Show.

Junior Lifeguard Camp
Cost: $30 member, $35 resident, $45 non resident
Ages: 12-15 
When: Session 1 - Monday, Aug. 19 through Friday, Aug. 23; Session 2 - Monday, Aug. 26 through Friday, Aug. 30
The week-long camp will provide campers with the opportunity to work side by side with certified lifeguards.
