Man Steals Hookah Tobacco from Plymouth Business on Two Occasions

Police said the man paid for coal but failed to pay for tobacco concealed in his pocket.

Plymouth Township Police responded to a retail fraud complaint on July 26 at the Cigar & Liquor Emporium on 5 Mile Road, according to a police report.

The owner told police that on July 25, a man went into the cigar room in the back of the store, looked at hookah tobacco, placed a can in the left pocket of his shorts, then returned to the counter to pay only for coal for the hookah and left the store, the report said.

The owner said about a week earlier, the same man came into the store and stole the same hookah tobacco the same way, the report said.
