MICHIGAN — Democratic representative Debbie Dingell is the projected winner to represent Michigan's 6th U.S. Congressional District, which includes most of Washtenaw and western Wayne counties, according to the Associated Press.

Dingell was first elected to the U.S. Congress in 2015, filling the seat of her late husband John Dingell. She represented the state's 12th district, which mostly centered in the Dearborn area, but moved to the Ann Arbor area after Michigan's congressional maps were redrawn.
