Ex-Michigan Football Coach Charged With Home Invasion, Stalking
Former Michigan Wolverines football coach Sherrone Moore faces up to five years in prison if convicted of third-degree home invasion.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Former Michigan Wolverines football coach Sherrone Moore is facing several charges in connection with an incident that happened the day he was fired.
Moore, 39, was arrested Wednesday after officers responded to a home in the 3000 block of Ann Arbor Saline Road in Pittsfield Township shortly after 4:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an assault.
He was charged with third-degree home invasion (five-year felony), stalking - domestic relationship (misdemeanor up to a year in jail) and breaking and entering (misdemeanor up 90 days in jail), according to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's Office.

He was expected to be released from jail on a $25,000 bond. He cannot contact the victim, who was not named in court Friday, and must wear a GPS tether. His next court date is scheduled for Jan. 22.
Several 911 calls appear to show the downfall of former Michigan Wolverines football coach Sherrone Moore. In one call, a dispatcher said "the person she’s on the phone with said that S1 grabbed knife, threatened to kill her, and then ran, threw the knife down," while mentioning the subject was experiencing a mental health crisis and was "suicidal," WDIV reports.

Less than an hour after the 911 calls, the University of Michigan announced they had fired Moore for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, which the university said "constitutes a clear violation of University policy."
The team announced Biff Poggi as interim coach.
