Motorcycle Crash Injures 23-year-old Canton Man

Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident, but excessive speed may be.

Canton Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that happened around 2:30 p.m. Sunday on southbound Lilley Road, south of Cherry Hill, according to a press release.

The rider, a 23-year-old Canton man, lost control of his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle, ran off the road and struck a tree, police said. 

The man was wearing a helmet and was transported to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor by the Canton Fire Department. The man's condition is unknown, police said. 

Police said alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident, however excessive speed may be. The crash remains under investigation by the Canton Police Department's Accident Investigation Team.
