Multiple roadways in the Plymouth-Canton area were flooded Thursday morning after heavy rain rolled through the area overnight.

PLYMOUTH-CANTON, MI — Multiple roadways in the Plymouth-Canton area were flooded Thursday morning after heavy rain rolled through the area overnight.
Harvey Street between Ann Arbor Trail and Penniman Avenue in Plymouth was closed due to flooding, officials said. The Central Parking Deck in Plymouth was also closed Thursday morning. Joy Road between Canton Center and Beck Road were also closed due to flooding.
There were also many flooded roads in Canton Thursday morning. Officials said there were numerous vehicles stranded on Canton Center south of Cherry Hill and Canton Center/Warren due to flooding. There were also heavy floods on Haggerty Road near Ford Road.

There were also heavy floods at Detroit Metro Airport, particularly the McNamara Tunnels where drivers cannot access due to flooding. Officials urged drivers to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
There was also heavy flooding on both directions of Interstate 275 at Interstate 94, the roadway leading into the airport.

There are also more than 57,000 DTE customers in the metro Detroit area without power Thursday morning after the overnight storms crossed the area.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue crossing the metro Detroit area Thursday as temperatures climb into the 90s with heat indices reaching triple digits, according to the National Weather Service.
