P-CCS Board Of Education Approves Limited School Of Choice Resolution
The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education passed a limited Schools of Choice resolution Tuesday.
The Plymouth-Canton Community Schools Board of Education passed a limited Schools of Choice resolution Tuesday, January 26, opening up a minimum of one seat for kindergarten through 10th grade with a maximum of 250 seats for the 2021-22 school year. For the fifth consecutive year, the district will enroll students through the school of choice provisions in Section 105 and 105c, which means that families from Wayne County and all surrounding counties (Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, Monroe) are welcome to apply.
As part of the resolution, and similar to last year, the District will first open a one-time Intra-District (for resident P-CCS students) Transfer application process to begin Wednesday, January 27. Similar to School of Choice placements, Intra-District Transfers will only be available for open seats; however, they will be considered before School of Choice placements are made. This application is located on the official district website under the Student Services area and can be found by searching ‘School Choice Options’ in the search engine.

The online School of Choice application window will be open from Saturday, February 27 to Friday, March 26 and can be found at www.pccsk12.com beginning on February 27 at midnight. All applications will be considered after the March 26 deadline; the application window closes at 11:59 p.m. EST on that day. The actual number of School of Choice students enrolled into P-CCS from outside of the District will depend on availability.
Applicants that are siblings of current P-CCS School of Choice students will be given sibling preference according to state law, as long as the applicant is a student entering Kindergarten through 10th grade for the 2021-22 school year. An application must be completed for the siblings of current P-CCS School of Choice students.
