The competition, which saw P-CEP's robot competing against other top robotics programs around Southeastern Michigan, saw P-CEP students overcome adversity during the team's 12 qualification matches. Students worked to fix the robot, re-engineer the design, and problem solve to reach the elimination matches. After their team alliance with Brighton and Chelsea High School programs was seeded 5th, the alliance proceeded to beat the 4th seed in the quarter finals, the competition's top seed in the semi finals and the 3rd seed in the finals in a series of best two out three elimination battles.
The program, which won a world championship in 2017, is comprised of students from all three P-CEP schools and also works with members of middle school programs at Discovery and Liberty Middle Schools.
