The following information is from the scholarship grantor: 

2022 Outstanding High School Student of the Year Scholarship Application Form 

Deadline for Submissions: Friday, February 18, 2022 

High School Scholarship Application 2022 

ESD will be offering one or more $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors  who will be pursuing a career in engineering or the life sciences 

The scholarship(s) will be distributed in June. All applicants will receive a one-year  complimentary Student Membership in The Engineering Society of Detroit. Each  applicant is requested to supply information about his or her academic background and  extra-curricular activities. 

To be considered, applicants must: 

∙ Have at least a 3.0 grade point average 

∙ Be pursuing a career in the field of engineering or the life sciences ∙ Participate in volunteer activities 

This application, along with a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor, will  serve as the basis of evaluation. Final decision as to the award of the scholarship(s) will  be in the hands of the Scholarship Committee.
