Lake Trust Credit Union - New Beginnings Scholarships
Skilled trade careers are in high demand in Michigan and these roles continue to grow. If you’re interested in pursuing a career in a trade by attending a career technical education program, this might be the scholarship for you. Six scholarships worth up to $6,000 are available. Funds can be used for tuition costs, equipment or tools for your trade, and professional dues and/or certifications.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must:
∙ Be a Michigan resident and eligible for a Lake Trust membership
∙ Attend a career technical education program, trade school, or be enrolled and majoring in a technical field at a Michigan college or university within the calendar year
∙ During the application, we’ll ask you to share your future career plans in your chosen technical field.
∙ You’ll be asked to upload a reference letter by a non-family member explaining why you would be the best choice for this scholarship.
