A classic tale of one person's influence on the pursuit of justice will hit the stage at Canton's DuBois Little Theatre when the Park Players Theatre Company presents 12 Angry Women on December 3-4 and 10-11 at 7:00 pm

Based on the Emmy award-winning 1954 television movie called 12 Angry Men, by Reginald Rose, 12 Angry Women is a play that contemplates the huge responsibility of 12 ordinary people as they consider the guilt or innocence of a young man accused of murder. The play is based on a true story, and it showcases the value of the democratic process and encourages society to question its own moral perspectives. The 12 jurors bring their own histories, prejudices, and biases to the jury room as they work through this life or death decision.

It was originally written for men only in a time before women could serve on juries, but has been recast to reflect modern times for this production.
