Plymouth-Canton Schools welcomed nine new hires to the district during the regular school board meeting last week.  Monica Merritt, assistant superintendent of human resources and labor relations, said they are rapidly working to fill the open teaching positions in the district. The positions are the result of retirements and resignations. The new teachers are: <ul><li>Derek Ayers, Social Studies at Discovery Middle School</li><li>Leah Babinski, Counselor at Starkweather Academy at Fiegel</li><li>Marina HIcks, Pre-K at Allen Elementary</li><li>Amanda Koszela, Farrand Elementary</li><li>Lea Kotlinski, General Education at Central MIddle School</li><li>Brandon Lee, Farrand Elementary</li><li>Katherine Lester, Media Specialist at East Middle School</li><li>Robert Opatrny, Language Arts at East Middle School</li><li>Richard Swift, Cognative Impairment, Discovery Middle School</li></ul>
