ANN ARBOR, MI — Former President Barack Obama's youngest daughter, Sasha, is set to begin her college career at the University of Michigan, according to reports.

Sasha, whose legal name is Natasha, was seen by students attending summer freshman orientation and again this week accompanied by men believed to be Secret Service agents, the Detroit News reported.

Sasha will be attending a public Big Ten university instead of an Ivy League institution, like her parents, the report noted: Barack Obama — the nation's 44th president and the first black man elected to the office — attended Columbia University in New York City for his undergraduate studies; Michelle Obama — the former first lady and mother of Sasha and Malia — earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in New Jersey.

The News said that speculation about the youngest Obama becoming a Wolverine began after an Instagram social media account attributed to her posted a photo of Sasha and two friends on the Ann Arbor campus, saying, "So proud to say I’m going to college with my sisters!!”

UM and Obama spokespersons both declined to comment. Read the full story at the Detroit News here.
