M-14 Reopens After MSP Investigates Road Rage Shooting

Michigan State Police said they investigated a reported highway shooting in Plymouth Township.

PLYMOUTH, MI — M-14 in Plymouth Township is open after closing Friday morning while Michigan State Police investigated what they called a road rage shooting.

Police said the shooting took place on eastbound M-14 before the northbound I-275 ramp. A person called 911 after they were involved in a road rage incident and the other driver shot the caller's vehicle, police said.

The suspect, driving a brown passenger car, continued eastbound and the victim stopped immediately, police said. One round was recovered from the victim's vehicle, police said.

The road was closed at the I-275 southbound ramp, according to Dennis Neubacher of WWJ.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 7:30 a.m Friday. There were no injuries, police said.
