Summer Heat Hits Metro Detroit Early
The week of June 12 is going to be hot, according to the National Weather Service.
METRO DETROIT, MI — While summer doesn’t official arrive for about 10 more days, the metropolitan Detroit weather forecast for the week of June 12 looks steamy. After a warm, mostly sunny weekend, Monday is forecasted to be downright hot at 92 degrees.
The rest of the week projects to have highs of at least 85 every day through Friday. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will see a moderate chance of thunderstorms. Here’s a closer look based on the forecast from the National Weather Service:
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 92. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. Southwest wind 6 to 11 mph.

Tuesday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
