Ultimate Dodgeball, Comedy and More This Weekend

1. Music in the Air: Global Village

  • When: Friday, Aug. 2, 7 p.m.
  • Where: Kellogg Park, Plymouth 
  • What: Global Village will perform this week. Get there early to find a spot to listen to the Motown/Rock/Blues band. 

2. "Now You See Me" at the Penn Theatre

  • When: Friday and Saturday 7 p.m., 9:15 p.m.; Sunday, 4:30 p.m., 7 p.m.
  • Where: Penn Theatre, 760 Penn Ave., Plymouth
  • What: An FBI agent and an Interpol detective track a team of illusionists who pull off bank heists during their performances and reward their audiences with the money.

3. Sky Zone Ultimate Dodgeball Qualifier

    • When: Saturday, Aug. 3, 7 p.m.
    • Where: Sky Zone, 42550 Executive Dr. Canton
    • What: The Second Annual Ultimate Dodgeball Championship will take place Saturday. Teams of 5-8 players will compete on the local level for a chance to travel to Las Vegas for the championship tournament where the eight best teams in the world will duke it out for the title and a grand prize of $20,000. Players must be 16 or older.

    4. Hallelujah! Barefoot Productions Stages Southern "Girls"

    • When: Saturday, Aug. 3, 8 p.m.; Sunday, Aug. 4, 2 p.m.
    • Where: Barefoot Productions Theatre, 240 N. Main, Plymouth
    • What: Comedy. Five friends run their makeshift day spa against a backdrop of love, loss, and longtime enemies in The Hallelujah Girls.

    5. Canton Farmer's Market

    • When: Sunday, Aug. 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
    • Where: Preservation Park, 500 North Ridge Road, Canton
    • What: Find fresh produce, plants, food and handcrafted soaps, woodwork and more.
