Join Rep. Dian Slavens for a task force meeting with guest speaker Meghan Groen of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan at the Canton Township Administration Building on Monday at 6 p.m.

    2. Local voice of the weekDeb Kern with the Humane Society of Huron Valley said there are cats and kittens everywhere. Find out more about adopting a furry feline.

    At the Canton Public LibraryCulinary instructor Mary Spencer will answer all of your canning and preserving questions on Wednesday at 7 p.m. She will demonstrate how to preserve Sugared Raspberries and how to can homemade fresh vegetable salsa. Mary has studied under the best, including Jacques Pepin, Milos Cihelka and many more. 

    4. For a good causeThe 31st Annual Charity Golf Outing, to be held on Thursday at FoxClassic Golf Course at Fox Hills Golf & Banquet Center, 8768 N.     5. Save the DateGreyHeart Greyhound Rescue will be at the Canton Petco on Aug. 4 for the public to meet and learn more about adopting the former racing greyhound. For more information, visit greyheart.org, or call 866-438-4739.
