Driver Suspected Of Being Impaired Killed In I-75 Crash
Michigan State Police say an Auburn Hills police officer tried to stop the car before the crash.

AUBURN HILLS, MI — A driver suspected of being impaired was killed in a crash in Auburn Hills early Saturday morning, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened on northbound I-75 near Clarkston Road. According to police, preliminary information revealed that Auburn Hills police tried to stop the car for suspected impaired driving but the driver did not stop and the pursuit was terminated.
State police say reports came in about the possibly impaired driver on I-75 and an officer from Auburn Hills police saw the car "all over the roadway and at high speeds."

A pursuit was initiated and the officer ended the pursuit north of Sashabaw Road but the driver continued speeding down I-75, police said. The officer then proceeded northbound and turned the corner where he saw the car had crashed.
Police say the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected. According to an early investigation, the car left the roadway to the right and struck a guardrail. The driver was killed.
