Drug Bust: Rochester Hills Teen Arrested For Possession of Synthetic Narcotic
The teen denied ownership of the pills, which were later identified as alprazolam.
ROCHESTER HILLS, MI — An 18-year-old Rochester Hills man and a 21-year-old Troy man were arrested on narcotics and other charges following a disturbance in the 1000 block of Brentwood Drive in Troy on March 11. Shortly after midnight, officers were dispatched to the home after the homeowner indicated that the Rochester Hills man was an unwanted guest.
Troy officers spoke with the teenager and upon searching him, found his fanny pack to contain eight pills that were later identified as alprazolam, according to police reports. The Rochester Hills man denied ownership of the pills. Officers located the same pill on top of a mini-fridge that the teen had been sitting near. Reports said officers also found a green vial containing a suspected marijuana cigarette inside, an orange vial that contained an unknown white powdery substance, and a white container that contained suspected marijuana hash oil.
The suspected marijuana was field tested with a narcotics test kit with the officers receiving a positive reaction for the presence of marijuana. Rochester Hills teen was then arrested and charged with illegal possession of a synthetic narcotic and possession of marijuana.
