Arbor Day Tree-Planting

On the last Friday in April (Arbor Day), the Rochester Hills Forestry Division conducts an annual tree-planting ceremony with the mayor presiding and often a local scouting or youth group in attendance. Different sites are selected each year for the Arbor Day tree: Borden, Spencer, and Avondale Parks, and City Hall grounds have all been chosen in the past. The Arbor Day tree-planting ceremony is open to any interested individuals.

This year’s ceremony will be held at Bloomer Park, 345 John R Rd. at 4 p.m. The public is invited, and this year's tree planting ceremony is in memory of Former Mayor Billie Ireland.
