announces its 5th Annual Benefit, to be held at the in Rochester on Saturday, May 5, at 6.30pm.
based in Rochester Hills, which was founded in March 2008. It was founded in memory of a local infant girl, Charlotte, who died at just 5 months old of a rare degenerative brain disease. In lieu of baptism gifts, her parents made a large donation of books to the pediatric unit at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. Charlotte’s Wings was founded to continue and expand this initiative – donating books to children in hospital and hospice care in Michigan. To date they have donated 14,000 to Michigan hospitals and hospices. Through this endeavor, they aim to provide hope and smiles during traumatic times.
The benefit will include dinner, entertainment, an amazing silent auction and, for the first time at this year’s event, a photobooth. It will also feature the return of Charlotte’s Wings signature cocktail, the Bookatini: All this to benefit their mission of donating books to children in hospital and hospice care in Michigan. Tickets are $40 apiece. For more information visit www.charlottes-wings.com. To attend the event, email charlotteswings@wowway.com.
