Founder’s Day is sponsored by Rochester PTA Council and honors three extraordinary volunteers from each school. Five additional honorees will receive special awards for their district-level accomplishments.
Rochester PTA Council will host a Raffle Preview with refreshments on February 29, from 1 to 5 p.m. in the Harrison Room of the RCS Administration Building located at 501 W. University. All community members are invited to attend. Raffle tickets will be on sale for $2 each or 12 for $20. "Buy It Now" items will also be available to purchase.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle go directly toward the PTA Council Scholarship Fund which benefits graduating seniors every year with four $1000 scholarships.
All of the 20 schools’ PTA units provide donations for the raffle. Past prizes have included spa packages, sports ticket packages, play/musical/ice show tickets, limo packages,
jewelry, and other high-end gifts.
Founder’s Day will be held March 1, 2012 at Rochester High School in the “Mall Area.” Admission is a $5 donation to the PTA Council Scholarship Fund and all community members are welcome. Doors open at 6 p.m. for the raffle and refreshments, and the awards ceremony begins at 7 p.m.
