Suspected Intoxicated Motorist Drives Car With Baby Into A Ditch After Seeing Ex-Boyfriend
Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies report the two-month-old infant was not harmed.

OAKLAND COUNTY, MI — A 2o-month-old baby boy has been placed with his father after his allegedly intoxicated mother reportedly drove the two of them into a ditch, according to a police report.
The incident happened on Jan. 22 at 1:34 a.m. A 35-year-old man called 9-1-1 alleging his ex-girlfriend, a 37-year-old Auburn Hills woman, was intoxicated and had entered his home without permission via an unlocked front door. Oakland County Sheriff's Office Deputies immediately responded to the home in the 6000 block of Waldon Rd. in Independence Township, however the woman was gone by the time Deputies arrived.
However, Deputies soon found the woman close by in her 2013 Buick Regal, which had been driven into a ditch near the intersection of Laurelton St. and Paramus Rd. Also in the vehicle was the woman's 2-month-old son, who was not injured during the crash and was secured in a child safety seat.

Deputies arrested the woman for Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated and revealed her PBT was a .121 BAC. She was transported to McLaren Hospital - Clarkston for a blood draw and then lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending criminal charges. Children’s Protective Services was alerted and the baby was placed with his biological father.
