Learn To Start A Fire Without Matches At 'Winter Survival: 101'
The Rochester HIlls Museum's 'Winter Survival: 101' class will share winter survival tips.

ROCHESTER, MI — How are your winter survival skills? If you want a tune-up, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm is presenting Winter Survival 101, according to a press release.
What's on the agenda? The city’s naturalist and environmental educator will share crucial outdoor lessons including: how to build a survival shelter and start a fire without matches. The class will also feature the scrumptious component of making s’mores over a bonfire.
Winter Survival 101 will be offered Monday, Jan. 16 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bloomer Park (345 John R Rd., Rochester). To sign up, call 248-656-4663 or email rhmuseum@rochesterhills.org

Note: Admission is free for Rochester Hills Museum members. For non-members, the price is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and students. Ages 8 and up are invited.
