Man Arrested in Rochester Hills Home Invasion
Washington Township man hospitalized, jailed after break-in.

Oakland County Sheriff's deputies responded early Tuesday to the 3100 block of Quail Ridge on a report of a home invasion, according to an incident report.
The 87-year-old homeowner told deputies a man had thrown a large landscape rock through the home's window to enter the house and her husband had gone downstairs with his gun to investigate.
The woman's husband told deputies he had found the man inside the home and that he appeared disoriented and was asking for help, the report indicated. When deputies arrived, they found a smashed window and blood inside the house, but the man had left the scene, the report indicated.

Deputies tracked the man, a 22-year-old Washington Township resident, to another home in the area and were able to arrest him, the report indicated. Deputies found the man appeared to be highly intoxicated and learned he was at the Detroit Tigers game the night before and had been dropped off in the neighborhood by friends, the report indicated.
According to the report, the man had apparently fallen into the Clinton River and was wet and shivering. The Rochester Hills Fire Department took the man to McLaren Hospital for treatment before he was sent to Oakland County Jail, according to the report.
